Lefkimi Hotel, Corfu

The lively 2-star Lefkimi Hotel offers basic but comfortable accommodation in a prime spot for enjoying the buzzing Kavos strip. Simple, functional rooms set in white-washed apartment blocks overlook a large rectangular pool, ideal for spending the days sunbathing. This hotel primarily attracts young couples and groups of young singles looking to take advantage of the resort’s nearby bars and clubs. During peak summer months, families and older people may find the atmosphere a little full on – however in the cooler months of spring and October the resort is far less busy and the hotel makes a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

 

The Lefkimi is situated in an ideal spot for enjoying the vibrant nightlife Kavos has to offer, with the bars and clubs of the main strip just 20m from the hotel. Being centrally located in the resort, there are numerous restaurants and cafes nearby for those who want to dine out. The main beach is just 100m from the hotel, where there are a good range of watersports to try as well as beach-side bars and cafes for refreshment when the sun gets too hot. The island’s capital, Corfu Town, is a short bus ride away and makes for a good day out. Corfu Town is incredibly picturesque, and has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has a number of ancient landmarks to explore and plenty of shopping and sightseeing during the day, as well as various cosmopolitan bars, restaurants and clubs located by the main port for evening entertainment.

 

Accommodation at the Lefkimi Hotel consists of 64 basic but comfortable rooms. All rooms have twin beds, air conditioning (payable at local rates), a fridge, safety deposit box, bathroom with shower and WC and balcony or terrace. A maid service operates 6 times a week. There are a limited number of twin rooms available for single occupancy for a supplemental fee.

 

The Lefkimi Hotel offers a limited range of facilities that are nonetheless adequate for a holiday where the emphasis is exploring the resort. A large, clean pool with surrounding sun terraces offers a pleasant spot to spend the days in the sun. The hotel has its own street-front bar, Tango’s which gets very lively in the evenings, and a poolside bar serving snacks and refreshments throughout the day for those lounging around the pool. A breakfast room is available for guests who opt for bed and breakfast accommodation, and there is also a pool table and TV room.
