San Casciano lies between Florence and Siena in Northern Italy, just on the edge of the Chianti Classico region, deep in the Tuscan countryside. The town enjoys a mild continental climate, and sees warm spring and autumnal days, with hot weather during the summer, and cooler winters.

These early days in the season can be a little changeable, with an average of 70mm of rainfall each month, but in general conditions are perfect for touring the region before the weather heats up and the crowds appear. June sees daytime highs of 26C in San Casciano, and by July and August, the temperature has risen to 30C, and conditions become much more humid.
