Montepulciano Weather

The climate in Montepulciano will not disappoint holiday makers who enjoy long summer days with 30C temperatures. Montepulciano is located in southern Tuscany and is blessed with an abundance of sunshine and of course some of the most breathtaking countryside in Italy. The weather in Montepulciano is generally hot throughout the summer months and cooler during the winter season with August benefiting from the highest temperatures. Humidity can be high during the peak summer months but the elevated hilltop location means that cooling breezes will take the edge from the heat.

Winter in Montepulciano will be cooler with temperatures hovering just under the 10C mark, usually comparable to a warm spring day in the UK. By early spring the temperature will once again climb to around 15C and this is a particularly beautiful time of the year in Montepulciano. The autumn months are also a popular time for holidays in Montepulciano. The weather will be warm with temperatures of around 20C and there will usually be some short lived rain showers at this time of the year. The mild temperatures are perfect for holiday makers who wish to explore Tuscany and visit vibrant cities such as Siena and Florence.
