Weather in Chianti – Hot Italian summers
Long hot summers and mild winters are the staple weather conditions in Chianti. Temperatures during the summer months can reach past the 30C mark and the sun will be shining down on this region of Italy for 12 hours per day. From May until the end of August the temperature in Chianti will not usually dip below 24C and there is very little chance of rain interrupting your holiday. Spring and autumn holidays in Chianti are also mild with temperatures usually hovering just below the 20C mark and the sun shining down for around seven hours per day.

Those who prefer slightly cooler temperatures should consider the months of April, May, September and October when the temperature dips to just below 20C. This is the ideal time to explore the Tuscany region and the nearby villages of Castellina and Radda.
