Walking and Hiking
Ideally positioned in a picturesque mountainous setting, the village boasts excellent terrain for walking and hiking, with visitors able to follow one of the paths and trails on foot and take in the simple beauty and rural charm of the area. San Pantaleo is the ideal destination for a walking holiday.
Mountain Biking
Cover plenty of ground on a leisurely cycle or challenging mountain bike ride and discover the charm of the countryside around San Pantaleo, or head north to the dramatic and rugged Gallura region. Bicycle rental is available in town.
Sports
As well as walking and biking, horse riding and golf are available for those seeking an activity holiday, with hotels and apartments in the village having swimming pools and facilities for table-tennis.
Beaches
Venture away from the village's rustic centre and head to the Costa Smeralda, home to a number of white sandy beaches, such as Porto Rotondo and Portisco, as well as a host of delightful hidden coves to discover.
Water Sports
The beaches offer sailing, windsurfing and scuba-diving, with boat rental readily available. Spend a day in nearby Porto Cervo to watch a yachting regatta from the marina.
Markets and Festival
The resort hosts a weekly market in the square, a bustling event ideal for soaking up the Sardinian culture and sampling some regional produce, and browsing the locally-made arts and crafts. San Pantaleo celebrates its village festival takes in honour of the town's patron saint in late July, and features lively shows, music and traditional dancing.
Day Trips
Tour the archaeological site of the Giant's Grave, visit the glamorous Porto Cervo at night for a change of scene, and people-watch in the glitzy harbour.
