Arzachena Things To Do

Arzachena is one of top resorts in Sardinia and boasts some of the island’s finest beaches. Capriccioli Beach has fine white sand sheltered by the surrounding pine trees. The shallow waters make this beach perfectly safe for children. The sea is amazingly clear, which is why Arzachena is a hotspot for scuba divers.

 

There is an excellent selection of water sports available in Arzachena. Holiday makers can try their hand at windsurfing, sailing, jet-skiing and speed boating. There are many coves and bays that are only accessible by sea so hiring a boat for the day will provide the chance to explore secluded beaches and coves.

Boat trips from Arzachena are the best way to explore the Emerald Coast. Trips can include island hopping or a voyage to the protected La Maddalena Islands that boast some spectacular unspoilt beaches. Candlelit dinner cruises along the coast are also one of the most romantic ways to spend an evening.

 

It’s not hard to find an authentic Sardinian restaurant along the winding streets in Arzachena. Traditional family run restaurants will provide homemade, mouth watering pasta dishes. There are of course plenty of little pizzerias in villages such as Monticanaglia. This is authentic Italian food so expect the best in both food and drink.

 

A holiday in Arzachena is not all about stunning beaches and delicious food. This area of Sardinia is well known for its cultural artefacts and the Little Temple of Malchittu, which dates back to 1600 BC, is worth a visit. The Li Muri necropolis and the Tomba dei Giganti Coddu Vecchju are also of sightseeing interest.

 

Nightlife in Arzachena is a low key laid back affair focussing on the town centre taverns and bars as the evening draws in. Sit in one of the open air garden restaurants and sip a cool drink or enjoy some live music with the locals in one of the friendly traditional taverns.
