Madonna di Campiglio Weather

Madonna di Campiglio is more commonly known as a top ski resort but this beautiful town has much to offer during both the summer and winter seasons. Located at an elevated position of 1550 metres in the Brent Dolomites, Madonna di Campiglio’s weather changes with the seasons, alternating between hot and sunny during the summer and snow covered in the winter. Holiday makers can expect warm sunny weather with temperatures up to and over the 25C mark from June until the end of August. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year with showers appearing infrequently during the peak summer months.

 

The winter ski season inMadonna di Campiglio is one of the most popular holiday periods. Ski season in Madonna di Campiglio usually begins mid December and ends around the middle of March. Maximum daytime temperatures during this period will usually hover between 1C and 3C with evening temperatures dropping to a minimum of -7C. There will be around three to four hours of sunshine per day during this period although the hours of daylight will usually be around nine or ten hours per day. Rainfall during the winter is quite minimal and should not disturb any skiing holiday in Madonna di Campiglio.

 

By late spring the temperature inMadonna di Campiglio will start to creep up to the 15C and over mark. The days will become warm and the sunshine hours will increase to around seven hours per day. The peak summer months will be hot at around 25C and over and this is the perfect time to explore the stunning Dolomites. There may be some showers during the summer months but these will generally pass by quickly.
