Passo Tonale Weather

Passo Tonale sits at an altitude of 1,880m high up in the Vale di Sole in the Italian Alps, on the borders of Lombardy and Trentino. The resort is an established winter ski resort, and sees cold weather during the winter months, but its mild temperate climate attracts visitors during the spring and summer seasons too.

 

Spring sees temperatures of around 10C - 15C in April and May in Passo Tonale, warming up in June and July with highs of 19C - 22C. There are around 6 - 7 hours of sunshine each day, with this pleasant warm weather making ideal conditions for exploring the mountains and lakes of the region, and for enjoying the outdoors with scenic walks and bike rides. Night-time temperatures drop to 8C - 10C during the summer months. There is increased rainfall during the summer, with the period from May to September experiencing between 80mm - 100mm each month.

 

Winters in Passo Tonale are all about the snow, with the resort attracting plenty of visitors who come to enjoy the extensive winter sports, especially the skiing and snowboarding. Temperatures range between 1C - 6C during the ski season, with January seeing the coldest weather. There is still an abundance of sunshine on the south-facing slopes during the winter months, and the resort's proximity close to the Presena Glacier ensures guaranteed snow throughout the ski season.
