Beaches
The sheltered beaches of Diano Marino are busy with tourists during the summer months and offer a range of convenient facilities, such as sun beds, umbrellas, snack bars, restaurants and a lively palm-lined promenade, and boast clean sand and safe swimming conditions.
 
Water Sports
Windsurfing, paddle-boat rentals, jet-skiing, water skiing, scuba-diving and sailing are all available from the beaches of Diano Marino.
 
Whale-Watching Trips
The sea around the Liguria Coast and the Cote d'Azure is home to whales and dolphins, and visitors can join trips departing from the harbour at nearby Imperia for a unique whale-watching trip in the Mediterranean.
 
Sports
Tennis, mini-golf, go-carting, beach volleyball, boccia and bowling can be enjoyed in the resort, there are golf courses nearby in San Remo and Garlenda, and paragliding and climbing available in the mountains. 
 
Countryside
Away from the coastline, the area inland is filled with lush vegetation, olive groves and rugged mountainous terrain, and dotted with quaint medieval villages. This charming Ligurian countryside can be explored whilst hiking, mountain biking or horse riding, and visitors can enjoy everything from leisurely walks and cycles, to organised hikes and extensive biking itineraries.
 
Historical Sights
The ancient town is home to some interesting churches and museums, including the Civic Museum, which offers an insight into the rich history of this former trading port, with its range of archaeological exhibits from pre-Roman, Roman, medieval times and the Middle Ages. Churches to tour include the 11th-century Romanic Church, and the Church of Saint Anthony Abbot, boasting a good collection of paintings.
 
Corpus Domini
During May and June, the town of Diano Marino celebrates the feast of Corpus Domini, when the streets are covered with a fantastic carpet of colourful flowers, arranged in a number of patterns - an amazing event which attracts large crowds each year.
 
Day Trips
The Italian Riviera of Flowers offers a huge range of day trips and excursions, with sights close to Diano Marino including the medieval village of Cervo, the artist's village of Bussana Vecchia, the botanical gardens at Villa Hanbury, and the olive museum at Imperia. Other resorts to see include San Remo and Genoa, the hiking terrain of the Cinque Terre, as well as the French resort of Nice on the Cote d'Azur.
