Summer weather is ideal for romantic al fresco dining, with very pleasant balmy evenings and cooler nights dipping under 20º. Weather in the Emilia Romagna mountains can also reach 30º in July and August, but nights are significantly cooler.

Spring and autumn in Emilia Romagna enjoy plenty of pleasant warm, sunny days but the weather is obviously more changeable. Plenty of sunshine in the winter too, though it can be chilly at night. Early and late summer are ideal times to enjoy destinations like Cesena and Tredozio, and tour the fascinating historic cities of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara and Parma. If you have the luxury of travelling outside of July and August you will still enjoy gorgeous, hot, sunny weather but see far fewer crowds in the major resorts like Rimini.
