The Town
Traditional and full of charm, Tredozio offers a peaceful base with a rural character.  There are many local shops and services, and some excellent restaurants serving the local farmhouses and villas in and around the town, with the charming piazza the hub of the village.
 
National Park
Tredozio enjoys a picturesque location inside the Casentino Forest, a stunning setting full of ancient woodlands and lakes, and a wonderful scenic spot deep in the Appenine Mountains.
 
Walking and Hiking
The forest and surrounding countryside provide the ideal departure point for many walks and hikes, from short strolls to strenuous hikes, with a number of marked paths, routes and trails running through the beautiful tranquil landscape. 
 
Cycling
Also popular is cycling and mountain biking, with the rolling hills offering the perfect terrain for avid enthusiasts, as well as those content to leisurely explore the area and enjoy the spectacular scenery.    
 
Sports
Many villas have swimming pools, and the town has tennis courts, horse-riding and fishing available, with a golf course about 30 minutes away.
 
Dining
With the area well-known for its rich regional produce such as truffles, mushrooms, chestnuts, honey, olive oil and herbs, visitors to Tredozio are treated to a hearty cuisine served in the bars, restaurants and trattorias, and able to sample local dishes using ingredients such as Parma ham and Parmesan cheese. The region is also known for fine wine, and there are different cellars to visit for tastings. 
 
Festivals and Events
As well as the local Palio of the Egg, held Easter Sunday and Monday in the town piazza, Tredozio also hosts music concerts during the summer. The surrounding towns and villages also boast many regional festivals thanks to the area's rich traditions and customs, such as the Feast of the Truffle in Dovadola, the Medieval Celebrations in Brisighella and the Living Paintings Exhibitions in Modigliana.
 
Day Trips
Other places to visit include Faenza, Bologna, Ravenna and the spa town of Castrocaro Terme, with Florence across the border in Tuscany, and Siena in Umbria both less than 100km away. The beaches of Milano Marittima and Cervia are located an hour away.
