St Agnello Things To Do
Town
The country town of St Agnello is a quiet and relaxing base, and ideally positioned to tour the sights of the Neopolitan Riviera. As well as the traditional town centre, with its shops and main square, there is a small black volcanic beach to visit, Marinella, which has bathing platforms, and stunning views from the cliff top location.
Sightseeing
Frequent buses make the short trip into Sorrento, and the popular towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello are easily accessible from St Agnello. Head along the coast and experience the famous Amalfi Drive, with its spectacular views, hair-raising twists and turns and hidden treats around each corner. The exclusive Positano, with its luxury hotels and colourful houses tumbling into the sea is a delight to visit, as is the historic Amalfi and Ravello with its famous villas and gardens.
Boat Trips
Boats, ferries and hydrofoils depart frequently from Sorrento, and head out to spots along the coast, as well as picturesque islands such as the glamorous Capri, with its chic cafes and famous Blue Grotto, and Ischia, home to therapeutic spas.
History & Culture
No trip to the region is complete without a tour of the ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum, with this impressive and well-preserved site, giving a fascinating insight into Roman life.
Shopping
Sorrento is a haven for shoppers, from the designer boutiques and up market shop fronts, to authentic delicatessens and local craft shops. Local woodcarvings and marquetry goods make ideal souvenirs and gifts, as do.
