Beaches
Ischia beaches are world famous, even more so since they were featured in the hit film The Talented Mr Ripley. Ischia is home to many stunning beaches such as Spiaggia dei Maronti located on the southern shore that features its very own thermal springs with therapeutic waters. The beaches can become busy during the peak summer months although there are water-taxis that will take holiday makers to more secluded bays and coves.
Sightseeing
One of the most popular sightseeing activities on a holiday in Ischia is to take ferry and boat trips from the island ports. Naples, Capri, and Sorrento make for exciting day trips from Ischia and are all easily accessible. Ischia itself has superb parks such as the Villa La Mortella and the Villa La Colombaia with its own museum dedicated to the film director Luchino Visconti.

Holiday makers who arrive at the peak will be greeted with stunning views of Ischia, and the Bay of Naples including Capri. Carved into the rock is a church that can be visited and at night the illuminated town Forio is a photographic opportunity not to be misses.
