Ravello Weather

Ravello is located 15 minutes inland from Amalfi on the Neapolitan Riviera in Italy and offers a quiet scenic base for touring this popular region. The area enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with hot summer weather featuring plenty of sunshine, and mild winters.

 

Spring sees warm weather in Ravello, with highs of 16C - 20C and 6 - 8 hours of daily sunshine in April and May. These conditions are ideal for exploring the famous stretch of Amalfi coastline and touring the towns' colourful gardens, which are typically in bloom during this time. Visitors who arrive in June for the annual Wagner festival are treated to temperatures of up to 24C, and 9 hours of sun each day. The peak season months of July and August experience very hot weather with temperatures soaring to 27C, and send most holiday-makers to the coast, where the warm waters of the Mediterranean reach temperatures of up to 27C from July to September. Evening temperatures in Ravello hover around 16C - 18C during the summer months, and in general, May to September is dry, seeing between 20mm - 40mm of rain fall each month. Late summer is a popular time to visit, when temperatures drop slightly to 24C in September and there is still 8 hours of sunshine each day.

 

Weather in Ravello - Cooler winters, with increased rainfall 

October experiences temperatures of 19C and a pleasant 8 hours of sunshine each day. Rainfall increases in the autumn, with the town seeing 90mm this month, rising to 100mm - 120mm in November and December. Temperatures during the winter drop to 10C during the coldest months in December and January, with the town only seeing 4 hours of sunshine each day.
