Positano Weather – Long hot summers and short mild winters
Italy’s Amalfi coast does not only boast one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world but also one of the best climates. The cliffside village of Positano benefits from high levels of sunshine all year round with temperatures reaching 30C and over during the peak summer months. Rainfall during the long summer months is rare and winters in Positano are short and sunny with occasional bouts of rainfall. Positano is sheltered by the Lattari Mountains, which offer excellent protection from the Northern winds and are a contributing factor to the mild and dry climate.
Weather in Positano – Hot Italian summer sunshine
Positano weather is some of the best to be found in the Mediterranean. From mid April the temperature will head over the 20C mark and will not dip below this until November. June through September will see the temperatures in Positano heading over the 25C mark. July and August are the hottest months in Positano. Temperatures often reach over 30 degrees. As this is a coastal resort there will be cool sea breezes that will take the edge from the heat making the weather ideal for exploring the Amalfi region. Sunshine levels are also high and from May until October the sun will be shining down for around eight hours per day.
Positano Weather – Warm winters and sunny Easter breaks
There is still plenty of warm Italian sunshine to be found during a winter break to Positano. The winter months will provide temperatures of around 13C although there will be a chance of rain at this time of the year. By the Easter holiday period the temperatures in Positano will be nudging the 20C mark and the sun will be out for seven hours per day. Positano is located on one of the most breathtaking coastlines in the world and the sunny climate is the perfect compliment throughout the year.
