Beaches
Amalfi beaches can include the sandy public beach, which boasts spectacular views over the Mediterranean. Most of the beachfront hotels will have their own private beaches. Nearby beaches at Minori and Maiori are some of the finest sandy beaches on the Amalfi coast.
Sightseeing
Sightseeing whilst on holiday in Amalfi should include the ruins of Pompeii dating back to 80 B.C. A trip to Sorrento, a city perched on a cliff top will provide breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius as well as sampling some Italian food in the restaurants dotted along the medieval alleyways. Boat trips to the chic island of Capri and the volcanic island of Ischia should also not be missed.

Energetic holidaymakers can try their hand at numerous sports in Amalfi including diving, sailing, windsurfing and jet-skiing. Golf and tennis are also available as well cycling and horse riding. A trip to the National Park of Cilento will be heaven for walkers and also provides some amazing beaches.

A day at least can be spent exploring the beautiful city of Naples, located only 22 miles from Amalfi. Naples is world famous for its museums, art galleries and architecture, and is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Closer to Amalfi is the town of Positano clinging to a cliff face and famous for its sophisticated way of life. The famous underground lake known as the Emerald Grotto is located in Conca dei Marini and should be include on any Amalfi holiday.

Amalfi restaurants by the wharfs will offer panoramic views of the sea with of course freshest seafood dishes available.
