La Palmar Beach Resort Weather
La Palmar Beach Resort Weather - Tropical Mauritian sunshine
Situated on the east coast of the island, La Palmar Beach Resort enjoys the tropical oceanic climate of Mauritius, with hot temperatures and long sunshine hours all year round. The humidity is high, but cool breezes from the Indian Ocean temper the hottest days, particular in this eastern region of the island. With sea temperatures between an impressive 24°C and 28°C all year round, it's little wonder that La Palmar Beach Resort is considered a top diving and snorkelling location by locals and international visitors alike.
La Palmar Beach Resort Weather – Winter sun break
There is no bad time time of year to visit La Palmar Beach Resort as there isn't much difference between summer and winter on the island. The wettest (and hottest) months are from December to April, however you will see that the daily sunshine hours are still high, as the rainfall usually occurs in short torrential downpours. This makes La Palmar Beach Resort a perfect choice for a winter sun holiday, particularly as coastal areas are hotter overall than the higher inland regions. There is a small risk of short tropical cyclones at the beginning of the year.
Weather in La Palmar Beach Resort – Tropical showers
Visitors flock to Mauritius to enjoy the delightful weather on the island. The longest sunshine hours are in October, November and December at an impressive 9 hours a day, with temperatures regularly rising to above 30°C. It may take you a couple of days to acclimatise to the climate if you are not used to the tropical conditions. Bring a high factor sun cream and hats to protect yourself and your family from the sun. Light weight clothing and rainwear is recommended all year round, just in case you get caught in a tropical shower.
