Mauritius sees only two seasons - summer and winter - with little variance in temperatures. Summer starts in November and lasts until May, with the winter season running from May to October. Although the average winter temperature is 28C and the average summer temperature is 25C, the resort can see maximum highs of 34C, and lows of 22C, and the summers experience increased humidity. Sea temperatures range between 22C and 27C, making conditions ideal for water sports all year round. April to June sees the driest weather, with June and July being the coolest months, with an average temperature of 24C, and 7 hours of sunshine each day.
Weather at Beau Rivage - Summers see tropical cyclones and tropical storms
January and February are the hottest months, seeing average temperatures of up to 30C. This period sees cyclones and a high amount of rainfall from the tropical storms, and as the resort is located on the east coast of Mauritius, Beau Rivage can be wetter than other areas, but with higher temperatures - up to 5C warmer - than on the central plateau. The best time of year for scuba divers to visit is from December to March, when the waters are the clearest.
