Summer Island Village Weather – An all year round hot climate
The name of this sunny holiday destination says it all. Summer Island Village boast an average 30C annual temperature in which to enjoy the spectacular white sand beaches and warm Indian Ocean waters. Summer Island Village is located in the Maldives North Male Atoll, which means less rainfall and higher temperatures than found in the southern atolls. There will be some rainfall throughout the year and there are two monsoon seasons. May through October will bring the heavier rains but in general these will usually only last for a matter of minutes.

January through March will be driest months of the year and holiday makers can expect around eight to nine hours of sunshine per day. The Indian Ocean temperatures will be perfect for swimming throughout these months, although swimming is available all year round. At 25C the evening temperatures are also high and light clothing will be all that is required.

April through to the end of May is known as the transitional period where there may some showers and temperatures can reach 32C and above. Some holiday makers may find the humidity slightly high during this period but cool breezes will help to temper the heat. Those who do choose to visit Summer Island Village during the wet season should be aware that rainfall will generally be short lived and the rain will quickly be dried by sunshine.
