Weather in Mirihi Island Resort - Hot and sunny in the South Ari Atoll
Mirihi Island Resort is located in the South Ari Atoll in the Maldives chain, and together with the rest of the islands, experiences a hot tropical climate, with abundant sunshine and high humidity. With the tourist season dictated by the two monsoons that affect the region, the best time for a Mirihi Island Resort holiday is during the cold British winter, from November to March.

The dry northeast monsoon arrives in the Maldives in November, and brings perfect conditions for a beach holiday, with the resort seeing high temperatures, plenty of sunshine and limited rainfall until it passes in March. The best weather in the Mirihi Island Resort is seen from January to March, when there are average daytime highs of 30C-31C accompanied by 8 - 9 hours of sunshine, and around 60mm - 90mm of rain each month. The level of humidity is comfortable at this time, and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean remain still and calm, and hover around 28C. Spring sees an increase in humidity, with April reaching daytime temperatures of 32C, and more uncomfortable levels signalling the onset of the southwest monsoon.

The rainy season arrives in May, when the resort sees much wetter weather, as much as 211mm during the month. Temperatures level slightly, and the daytime highs remain a steady 30C from June until the end of the year. Summers experience anywhere from 180mm - 200mm of monthly rain, and there is still at least 7 hours of sunshine during the day. Conditions in the sea are a little rougher, and the water temperature rises to 29C. September and October typically see the wettest weather in Mirihi Island Resort, with 213mm and 229mm of rain respectively, and by November the rainy season has come to a close, with the dry northeast monsoon ready to bring much drier conditions.
