Kuredu Island Resort Weather

With a year round 30C temperature the climate in Kuredu Island will be a dream comes true for any sun lover. Kuredu Island is located in the Northern Atolls, which means less rain, higher temperatures, and an abundance of hot sunshine all year round. Kuredu Island does have a typically tropical climate and does have a rainy season between May and November, but the rainfall is generally short-lived and will not dampen the high temperatures. Although temperatures are high all year round there will be cool sea breezes that will temper the heat and humidity.

 

December through April is considered the ideal time to visit Kuredu Island, which explains why Christmas holidays and New Year holidays are so popular. Temperatures during this period will be 30C plus, and humidity and rainfall levels will be low. The island lagoons and Indian Ocean temperature will be a warm 26C, although this temperature is stable throughout the year. This is the perfect time of the year to relax on the beaches at Kuredu Island Resort and to swim and dive in the crystal clear Indian Ocean. Evening temperatures will also be warm at around 26C; perfect for evening strolls along the beach or dining in the open air restaurants.

 

Kuredu Island is blessed with an abundance of sunshine and receives around 2700 hours per year. Daily sunshine levels are high and the peak months will see Kuredu Island receiving around eight hours of hot sunshine per day. There really is no low season in the Maldives although low price bargain holidays can be picked up between May and November. Temperatures during this period will still be over 30C but there will be a higher chance of rainfall at this time of the year.
