Fihalhohi Weather

Located in the South Male Atoll, Fihalhohi is a true all year round sunshine destination. This beautiful little island has white sand beaches around its entire coastline and a hot climate in which to enjoy them. The temperature in Fihalhohi will never usually dip below 30C all year round. Sunshine levels are also high and Fihalhohi does receive around 2700 hours of sunshine per year. Holiday makers can expect around eight hours of hot sunshine per day during the peak season months between December and April. As the climate in Fihalhohi is typically tropical there will be rainfall between May and November but this will not dampen the high temperatures and the rainfall is never continuous.

 

December through April is considered the perfect time for a holiday in Fihalhohi; there will be less rainfall, lower humidity levels, and high temperatures at this time of the year. The sea temperatures will be around 26C during this period although this temperature will remain constant throughout the year. Christmas holidays and New Year holidays in Fihalhohi are very popular thanks to the amazing weather conditions and are the perfect solution to the chilly UK winters. An evening stroll along the beaches will be a pleasure with an evening temperature of 26C.

 

Although Fihalhohi can truly be described as one of the world’s natural beauty spots some rain does fall. May through November is known as the wet season and this is a great time to book a low season holiday in Fihalhohi. Rainfall will generally be short-lived and will not make a difference to the temperatures, which do increase during this period. Water clarity also increases at this time of the year making it perfect for diving and snorkelling in the crystal clear Indian Ocean and atoll lagoons.
