Dhaalu Atoll Weather – High temperatures all year round
Dhaalu Atoll is located in the southern atolls and benefits from a spectacular 2700 hours of sunshine per year. Although the Maldives do have a rainy season the temperature in Dhaalu Atoll will not usually dip below 30C throughout the year. The southwest monsoon season will occur from June through September and can bring heavy rainfall although this can be over in a matter of minutes. Rainfall will not dampen the high temperatures and storms and cyclones are extremely rare in the Maldives. Evening temperatures will be a warm 26C throughout the year and light summer clothing will be all that is required.

December to April is considered the high season for a holiday in Dhaalu Atoll. At this time of the year the temperature will hover around the 30C mark and the sun will be shining down on the pristine beaches for around eight hours per day. During these months there will be little rainfall, low humidity levels and the ocean conditions are perfect for swimming and diving. Water and air temperatures vary little and the average water temperature will be around 26C throughout the year. Although 30C temperatures may seem high the heat is never excessive and cool breezes will drift in to keep take the edge from the heat.

March and April is considered the hot season with temperatures heading to around 32C and some light showers will be found at the end of April. By May the transitional period is underway with some light daytime showers and cooler evening temperatures. The rainy season is a popular time for holiday makers considering bargain holidays in Dhaalu Atoll. Rainfall is never constant, and once over will the dried within minutes by the high temperatures.
