Weather in Angaga Island Resort and Spa - Hot tropical conditions in South Ari Atoll
Angaga Island Resort and Spa lies in the South Ari Atoll in the Maldives archipelago, and experiences a hot tropical climate, with year-round high temperatures and plenty of sunshine. The weather in Angaga Island Resort is affected by the two monsoons that blow through the region, with the peak season falling during the northeast monsoon, which brings ideal dry conditions from November to March.

November and December see the start of the holiday season, with this time attracting many looking to escape the cold British weather. These winter months see temperatures of 30C, and some residual wet weather from the rainy season, around 190mm each month, but in part conditions are good for a tropical beach holiday. The best weather is seen from January to March, however, when the highs reach 31C, there is up to 9 hours of sunshine each day, and a low level of humidity. This is the driest season, with each month receiving an average of 60mm - 90mm, and although the waters of the Indian Ocean are at their coolest. Sea temperatures at this time hover around 28C - ideal for swimming and water sports. Spring brings hotter humid weather in Angaga Island Resort and Spa, with April seeing highs of up to 32C, and a marked increase in humidity signalling the arrival of the southwest monsoon and the subsequent rainy season.   
 
Weather in Angaga Island Resort and Spa - Rainy season from May to September
The southwest monsoon blows through the Maldives from May to September, with up to 211mm of rain falling at the start of the season. This rain continues throughout the summer, with between 160mm - 200mm of rain each month, accompanied by constant temperatures of 30C, and a steady 7 hours of sunshine. Humidity does decrease at the summer goes on, and by July conditions are less hot and sticky. The sea is much rougher during the monsoon, remaining warm with temperatures of 29C. September and October see more rain, with up to 213mm - 230mm falling respectively, decreasing in November and December, when the drier weather returns.
