Tamborim Things To Do

The sandy beach is the main attraction if you go on a holiday to Tamborim. It provides the perfect South Goa base for peaceful sunbathing and pure relaxation under the shady coconut trees, with maybe a dip in the warm waters of the Arabian Sea for the more active.

The wetlands and marshlands are home to a huge variety of exotic birdlife, with the area offering the perfect spot for avid ornithologists to view more than 80 types of species, in a exotic setting with plenty of sunshine.

 

One of the most important aspects of a holiday in Goa is sampling the delicious food of the area, with local beach shacks and bars serving up rice and curries with plenty of coconut, and a range of freshly-caught fish and seafood. There are some interesting day trips to take, such as the bustling city of Margoa inland, and the capital city in North Goa, Panjim - both offering a lively change of scene, with great opportunities for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The resorts of North Goa are known for their vibrant beach scenes, such as Baga and Calangute, whilst many tourists flock to the weekly hippie market at Anjuna for their holiday shopping.
