Rustic charming village in South Goa
The tiny village of Tamborim lies between Varca Beach and Cavelossim in South Goa, and offers an idyllic base for a quiet beach holiday. The resort sits in a very peaceful and unspoilt spot on the coast, and boasts a lovely sandy beach with swaying coconut trees, surrounded by lush vegetation and green paddy fields. There are also marshlands and wetlands in the resort, home to a wide variety of exotic birds.

The town centre has an authentic village feel, with farm animals running around, and local townspeople going about their daily business, such as collecting water from the well.

Whilst in Tamborim, guests can enjoy swimming and cycling, as well as sunbathing on the beach, with bird-watching tours, dolphin-watching trips, and excursions to local spice plantations available. Other resorts in the area include Cavelossim, Colva, Varca and Mobor, which offer a livelier scene, with plenty of activities and water sports.
Weather in Tamborim
The best time for a holiday in Tamborim is from November to March, when the days are dry and there is an abundance of sunshine. These winter months experience average temperatures of 32C - 33C, with the sun shining for 10 hours each day. Humidity levels are high but not unbearable, with coastal breezes helping to temper the heat. Night-time temperatures remain warm, with the evenings ranging from 22C in November to 20C in February. Rainfall is extremely low, with November and December seeing just 16mm - 30mm, and January and February receiving no rain at all. Sea temperatures are pleasant and ideal for swimming and water sports, with the waters of the Arabian Ocean hovering around 28C.
