Famous for its Night Market and beaches
Baga Beach, part of the stretch of coastline spanning from Fort Aguada to Chapora Beach, is a peaceful and picturesque resort, and a popular destination for British package holidaymakers. An extension of the very lively and busy Calangute Beach, Baga is smaller and quieter, and a favourite spot for fishing and watersports.

A beautiful scenic sandy beach
Nestling by a rocky, wooded headland, Baga Beach offers a picturesque and scenic retreat for sunbathing, and local fishermen can be seen returning with the catch of the day in the morning. The Baga River flows along one side of the beach, and offers an alternative to swimming in the sea, especially for children. As well as swimming, most tourists on Baga Beach are content just to relax and sunbathe on the fine sand, try their hand at fishing or go for a walk along the shore enjoying the beautiful scenery. Despite the quiet peaceful beach, the main road in Baga Village is lined with bars and shops, and Baga Beach is known for its’ great choice of restaurants and lively nightlife.

Home to some fantastic restaurants and great nightlife
Baga Beach has seen some rapid development in recent years, and now offers holidaymakers a wide range of places to eat and plenty of entertainment. Beach shacks are a great place for a cheap meal, and generally offer excellent local food, with many in Baga Beach being more modern and luxurious than elsewhere.
