Situated directly on Varadero beach, the Iberostar Tainos offers easy access to a host of exciting watersports activities, including scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and jet skiing. Varadero town centre is around a ten minute drive away, where there is a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. There’s lots to see and do in and around the town, including Parque Josone; a park filled with birds, stalls, musicians and camel rides, Delfinario; a show where you can swim with the dolphins, and the impressive Bellamar Caves. Transfers take approximately 45 minutes from Varadero Airport or 2 hours from Havana Airport.

 

Accommodation at the complex consists of 272 rooms set across 4 floors in the main building, in addition to 17 two-storey bungalows. Rooms exude old-fashioned Caribbean charm, with blue and yellow pastel exteriors, terracotta tiled rooftops and white picket fences. Standard rooms come with a king-sized bed or two twin beds, satellite TV, air conditioning, a CD player, mini-bar, telephone, hairdryer, safety deposit box, full bathroom with WC and balcony or terrace.

 

The Iberostar Tainos is set around a large, lagoon-style pool that is fringed by palm trees and surrounded by sun decks. Guests can choose to either dine at the traditional buffet restaurant, or sample the cuisine at the Japanese and Cuban a la carte restaurants – both of which frequently receive rave reviews. Guests can sip cocktails and a whole host of other refreshments provided by one of the 5 on-site bars, including a lobby bar, beach bar, pool bar, Theatre bar and Rancho bar. Recreational facilities are abundant here, and include a gym, sauna, pool tables, table tennis, tennis and volleyball courts and bowling, as well as a selection of watersports at the beach. There is a varied evening entertainment programme put on, with stage shows, competitions, quizzes, live music and a weekly Cuban show.
