Village
Kala Nera is widely seen as the most beautiful and unspoilt village on the Pelion peninsula. Holidays in Kala Nera revolve around the beautiful Blue Flag beach, from which swimming is a pleasure. It's also a good central place from which to discover other parts of Pelion. A fishing village in the shadow of Mount Pelion, Kala Nera is just 20 kilometres from Volos. Festivals

Everyone's invited, and the highlight of the season is on the 15th August, a national holiday devoted to the Virgin Mary. In her honour, the festival of Panagia (The Holy Mother) is held. Join in the celebrations, with wine and song.
