Argassi Things to Do
Beaches
The beach here is long and narrow, offering shallow seas for swimming and paddling, and plenty of loungers, umbrellas and showers, as well as numerous convenient tourist facilities. Other beaches to visit in the area include Agios Nikolaos Beach and Banana Beach.
Water Sports
Plenty of water sports available on the beach, including jet-skiing, pedaloes, banana boat rides, ringos, snorkelling and paragliding.
Sports & Activities
Hotels and apartments in Argassi have pools and tennis courts, with the resort home to a mini-golf course and go-carting track, as well as bouncy castles, trampolines, and children’s playgrounds.
Walking & Hiking
There are walks to be taken along the coast and inland, from rambles through the green countryside, past olive and citrus groves and wetlands, to strenuous hikes up Mount Pliny.
Exploring
Local stables offer horse riding and trekking, and mountain bikes are available for rent. Scooters, jeeps and quad bikes can be hired to fully explore Argassi and the rest of the island.
Entertainment
The town is a busy developed resort, and offers plenty of entertainment, from the extensive choice of tavernas, restaurants, bars and English-style pubs, to nightly karaoke, televised sports, quiz nights, clubs and discos.
Attractions/Day Trips
Visit the animal farm and reptile house, or head to the local Water Park for a family day out. The capital, Zante Town is accessible on foot, and offers plenty in the way of shopping, dining and more nightlife. Boat trips include excursions to the Blue Caves and Smugglers Cove, or out across to Kefalonia.
