Holiday makers can also take a 45 minute trip by hydrofoil from Thassos Town harbour to Kavala on mainland Greece to explore this fascinating port town.

 

Day trips from Skala Potamias can either be taken by guided tour or by hiring a car. The majestic Mount Ipsario and its surrounding trails will be an excellent option for hikers and cyclists. The beautiful wetlands of Nestos Delta can be reached by a short ferry ride, and at the marble quarries and Thassos caves are well worth visiting.
