Potos Weather

The south coast beach resort of Potos is blessed with a warm climate for much of the year. Sheltered by the Greek mainland, Potos is a favourite with UK holiday makers who enjoy hot but not the scorching weather. Temperatures in Potos will reach up to and sometimes over 30C during the summer months but humidity levels are moderate to low. Sunshine levels in Potos are also high and the peak summer months will bring around 12 hours of hot sunshine per day. Rainfall is rare during the summer and showers will appear mainly during the spring, autumn and winter months.

Many holiday makers have fallen in love with Potos thanks to its unspoilt landscape and comfortable climate. The summer months from June through August will be the best time for beach lovers to visit. Temperatures are high during this period but generally not uncomfortable. Average summer temperatures in Potos will hover between 25C and 29C during June and August. The sea temperatures will be only a few degrees lower and swimming is available from April until mid October. September is another warm month, and although the temperature does decrease to around 25C there will still be plenty of hot days.

 

April is a popular holiday month in Potos and Thassos itself becomes very lush and green with warm weather appearing along with some showers. The spring and autumn months are the best time to explore Potos and Thassos in general. The weather in Potos during these seasons is very comfortable and pleasant and humidity levels are low. October will see temperatures hovering just under 20C and the sun will be shining down on the beaches at Potos and nearby resorts such as Perfkari for eight hours per day.
