Perfkari Weather

The beautiful beach resort of Perfkari is located on the sun soaked south coast of Thassos. The climate in Perfkari is a typical Mediterranean combination of long hot summers and short winters. Peak summer temperatures in Perfkari will hover around 30C, and constant sunshine uninterrupted by rain is the norm during from June though August. The climate in Perfkari will be ideal for those who like hot weather but not the intense heat that can be found in the southern Greek islands. Humidity levels in Perfkari are moderate throughout the year and Thassos does not suffer from strong winds due to shelter from the Greek mainland.

 

Hot weather lovers will find the summer months of June, July and August the ideal period to visit Perfkari. Temperatures will hover just under and sometimes over 30C and rainfall will be almost non existent. July and August can be humid at times but Perfkari boasts hot but not uncomfortably hot weather. The beaches at Perfkari and nearby Potos will be the place to spend the hot afternoons enjoying the sunshine or the numerous water sports. Evenings are warm at a minimum 18C and cool breezes will keep the nights comfortable and pleasant.

 

Holiday makers who enjoy sightseeing and exploring will find the spring and autumn months in Pefakri ideal. Temperatures during April and October will hover around 20C and the sun will be shining down for around eight hours per day. Swimming in the North Aegean Sea is available from mid April until mid October. Rainfall levels in Perfkari may be slightly elevated during these seasons but will usually appear in the form showers that will pass by quickly.
