Limenaria Weather – An abundance of Greek sunshine
Sun worshippers looking for fabulous beaches and an abundance of sunshine will find Limenaria an ideal option. Limenaria’s south-west coastal location provides slightly warmer weather than found in the north of Thassos. Temperatures during the peak summer months will average just under 30C but can exceed this on a regular basis. Sunshine levels in Limenaria are high and holiday makers can expect around 11 hours of hot sunshine per day from June through August. Winds will not affect Limenaria due to shelter provided by the Greek mainland and rainfall is minimal during the summer months.
Weather in Limenaria – 30C temperatures during summer
From May onwards the weather in Limenaria will become warm with temperatures hovering around 25C. Swimming in the warm North Aegean Sea is available from May onwards. By June the weather in Limenaria will become hot during the day but not uncomfortably so. Thassos is not prone to the excessive heat that afflicts some of the more southern Greek islands. July and August will be the hottest months with temperatures hovering between 25C and 30C. Humidity is relatively moderate and rainfall is practically non-existent during the peak summer months. This is the ideal time to relax on the beaches at Limenaria and nearby Tripiti.
Limenaria Weather – Plenty of spring and autumn sunshine
The autumn months in Limenaria will see the temperatures receding slightly. September and October are still warm and can sometimes be hot with swimming still available. By November the weather in Limenaria will be cooler with temperatures hovering around 14C as winter approaches. Winters in Limenaria are cooler and wetter, this is a quiet time of the year on Thassos. The Easter holiday period during April will see warm weather returning to Limenaria with temperatures of 17C and rainfall levels beginning to decrease.
