Kanapitsa Things to Do

Beach
As well as the two superb stretches of sandy beach at Kanapitsa itself (both of which are often uncrowded and have a laid-back ambience), other beach options close-by include: beaches at Skiathos Town (only 4 miles away), Koutsouri beach and Delfiniki beach. The hourly water taxi to Skiathos Town from Kanapitsa is fun and only takes about 20 minutes.

Water Sports
At Kanapitsa you can enjoy a range of water sports, including: windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing and even scuba diving.

Eating Out
With Skiathos Town close-by, you’ll have a wide selection of places to eat to choose from. Enjoy a tasty light meal at a traditional taverna in the exciting capital, or head for one of the excellent restaurants there for a delicious, filling meal.

Nightlife
Kanapitsa has a good selection of tavernas. Enjoy a quiet few drinks and a chat with other holidaymakers and local people in a friendly atmosphere. And if it’s sophisticated bars, great live music and lively nightclubs you seek, you’ll find all that and more in Skiathos Town.

Exploring
For a break from the beach, how about going for a leisurely walk around the nearby Kalamaki Peninsular? As well as taking in the stunning views of Skiathos Town and the small islands of Skopelos and Tsoungria, the whole family could enjoy exploring the beautiful pine forests that surround the resort.

Visit the Capital
Holidays in Kanapitsa you get the best of both worlds: a peaceful resort with an unhurried feel, set right on the doorstep of the island’s bustling capital, vibrant Skiathos Town. That means you can hit the shops and boutiques, enjoy a three-course meal in a good restaurant, dance until late in a lively nightclub, and then simply return to Kanapitsa after an enjoyable evening for a restful night’s sleep, knowing that another quiet day on Kanapitsa’s uncrowded beach awaits you when you wake. Perfect!
