Perivolos Things to Do
Beach
The black sandy beach runs along the southeast coast, and is one of the best on Santorini. Ideal for families, this makes up part of the longest beach on the island and remains less crowded than other neighbouring stretches, and offers sunbeds and convenient beach bars. Perissa is a bigger livelier resort along the coast, whilst Vlyhada is a more peaceful quiet base.
Water Sports
This stretch of coastline is known for its crystal-clear seas, and offers plenty of water sports for active visitors, such as jet-skiing, windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing, scuba diving and snorkelling.
Water Park
For a fun family day out, Perissa has a water park with three pools, slides and a restaurant, for those looking for a change from the beach.
Walking & Hiking
A holiday to Perivolos is ideal for coastal strolls and inland hikes; with the mountainous terrain hiding a host of paths, tracks and ancient mule trails to follow (donkey rides along the trails are available).
Dining
Perivolos has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and tavernas that line the beach, serving up authentic dishes from Greece as well as international fare.
Entertainment
There's volleyball on the beach, and hotels and apartments have pools and tennis courts. As well as the numerous restaurants, there are some music bars and discos. For more extensive nightlife, head to Perissa.
Day Trips
Venture to neighbouring resorts - the lively Perissa and the peaceful Vlyhada along the coast, head to Fira for some great shopping or the scenic town of Oia at sunset. Sights such as Akrotiri and Thera are within reach for exploring the island's ancient history.
