Imerovigli Weather

Beautiful sunshine abounds all summer long in Imerovigli. Located on Santorini’s West coast temperatures in Imerovigli reach 27C-28C on a daily basis throughout the summer months. Situated atop a volcanic caldera, Imerovigli also benefits from a light coastal breeze which can provide a welcome refrain from the moderate summer humidity. With up to 13 hours sunlight each day to enjoy the stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the opportunity to bask in the glorious twilight at sunset, Imerovigli presents a perfect summer break.

 

Located at over 400m above sea level Imerovigli is not a beach resort. However, the glorious summer sun can still be taken advantage of poolside in one of Imerovigli’s hotels, villas or apartment blocks, or it is only a short journey across to the East of Santorini where beautiful volcanic sandy beaches await. The flatter East coast boasts the beaches of Kamari, Perissa and Monolithos where the sea waters reach the sumptuous temperature of 24C over the summer. With moderate humidity and a light coastal breeze the beaches of Santorini will often feel slightly warmer than the cliff top Imerovigli, but they provide the perfect atmosphere for day time relaxation with the opportunity to experience a wide selection of watersports activities at Kamari.

 

The opportunity to discover Santorini is one that can be taken all year round. For discovering the volcanic caldera and all Santorini more comfortably, Spring and Autumn are the ideal seasons where temperatures range from 19C-25C with little or no humidity experienced. There is the slight chance of light rainfall but even so, this is soon dried by the heat and only ever totals around 1 inch per month. Winter temperatures do drop to 14C but 10 hours of daylight continue to offer a welcome break all year round.
