Fira Weather – Spectacular summer sunshine
Spectacular sunshine beams down all summer long in Fira making it one of Santorini’s top resorts. Sitting atop a 400m volcanic caldera on the West side of Santorini, Fira enjoys perfect clear blue skies for enjoying the wondrous views. Temperatures from June through to August fall in range of 27C-28C with up to 15 hours of sunshine each day. Although experiencing moderate humidity through the summer, Fira benefits from a light coastal breeze which is refreshingly welcome. These factors all contribute to making Fira and Santorini a place that can be explored during the day and perfect for relaxing in beautiful outdoor bars and tavernas in the evenings.

Weather in Fira – Beaches accessible by bus
Due to Fira’s cliff top location the town does not boast a beach, however it is only a short journey to the East of Santorini where glorious volcanic sandy beaches abound. Kamari, Perissa and Monolithos, all situated on Santorini’s flatter East coast, are perfect for beachside relaxation and activities where the sea waters warm up to 25C in the summer months. The temperatures here are likely to feel slightly warmer than Fira due to being at sea level, but again a light coastal breeze provides a welcome refrain.

Fira Weather – A haven for off season exploring
Although it's a cliff top town, Fira still presents an ideal sun soaked relaxing summer holiday. For those who like to explore the real Santorini Spring and Autumn present the ideal opportunity. During these seasons temperatures still range between a pleasantly warm 19C-25C with the added bonus of next to no humidity. Sporadic rainfall is quickly dried by the heat and totals barely 1 inch per month. Over the winter months temperatures do drop to around 14C but 10 hours of daylight continue to present Fira as a welcome break.
