Vlicha Weather

Vlicha is famed for having one of the most picturesque bays in Rhodes, and the beautiful climate compliments it perfectly. With the hot summer sun beating down for 13 hours per day the weather in Vlicha will be perfect for beach lovers. The east coast of Rhodes is blessed with an abundance of sunshine; approximately 300 days of sunshine per year. Rhodes is known as a windy island but these winds will help to regulate the heat to a comfortable level. Rainfall will be minimal during the summer and will appear as showers during the spring and autumn months.

Hot weather lovers will find the summer temperatures in Vlicha ideal. From mid May the temperature will begin to climb to 30C and by June it can exceed this level. Temperatures in Vlicha will peak during the hottest month of August when temperatures in the mid thirties are not uncommon. The beaches at Vlicha Bay and nearby Lindos and Pefkos will be the place to spend the long hot days enjoying the warm 25C sea waters. Evenings will also be warm with temperatures hitting a minimum of 22C; perfect for long dinners in the open air beach front restaurants.

 

The spring and autumn seasons are the perfect for those who prefer warm rather than hot weather with low levels of humidity. The weather in Vlicha will be pleasant with temperatures hitting 20C during April and 23C during October. November will be quieter and cooler but swimming is still available until mid November. Spring, autumn and winter will bring higher levels of rainfall but rain will usually appear in the form of short lived showers. Winter in Vlicha will see temperatures of around 16C with plenty of warm sunny days to enjoy.
