Vlicha Things to Do

The beaches at Vlicha are known as the most picturesque on Rhodes and there are plenty of choose from along the coastline. Vlicha Bay has probably the best panoramic views on Rhodes and the beach itself is unspoilt and large enough to find a deserted stretch of sand. Nearby beaches include Lindos, St Paul’s Bay and Pefkos.

 

Water Sports
Vlicha boasts easy access to numerous water sports including jet-skiing, windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling. Diving in Vlicha is an unforgettable experience and is available at nearby Pefkos and Lindos.

Sightseeing
Vlicha sightseeing can include ancient historic ruins such as the Temple of Athena at the Acropolis, which can be reached by a donkey ride. Pefkos beach is the place to go for a sightseeing airplane ride around Rhodes. A boat trip on the Kolymbia Express from Lindos will allow holiday makers to visit Archangelos, the largest village on Rhodes. A tour of Butterfly Valley will provide many photographic opportunities including Europe’s largest gorge.

 Sports

The beautiful countryside around Vlicha is ideal for sports such as hiking, cycling and horseback riding.  Golf lovers can stop off at Afandou and take in a round of golf at the 18-hole championship course, which boasts spectacular views and is open all year round.

 

Boat trips are a great way to explore Rhodes, and Vlicha is ideally placed for many trips from Lindos. Trips can include the vibrant city of Rhodes Town where a day or two should be spent exploring the Old Town and the Turkish Quarter. Boat trips to Faliraki can include the largest water park in Europe and of course the best nightlife on the Greek islands. A trip to the south point of Prassonissi will provide the best windsurfing conditions on Rhodes.
