Tholos Weather

Located on the northwest coast of Rhodes, the resort of Tholos exudes tranquillity with its unspoilt beaches and beautiful climate. Uninterrupted hot sunshine for 12 hours per day is the norm in Tholos for much of the summer. Temperatures in Tholos will head over 30C during the summer but the northwest coast does not receive the intense heat that is found on the south coast. Sunshine levels in Tholos are high and holiday makers can enjoy around 13 hours of sunshine per day during the summer. With long hot summers and short mild winters Tholos will be the perfect holiday destination for sun lovers.

 

May brings the hot weather to Tholos and temperatures do begin to head towards the 30C level from mid May. Rainy showers will decrease from mid may onwards and the peak summer months will see almost no rainfall at all. Temperatures in Tholos will peak during the month of August and 35C is not unknown during this month. The Meltemi winds will blow in to keep the heat manageable and the beaches at Tholos, Kremasti and Ixia will be the place to be during the sun filled days. Evening temperatures will be a warm 22C; perfect for cool drinks in the taverna gardens.

 

Holiday makers who prefer slightly cooler weather should consider a holiday in Tholos during the spring and autumn months. Easter and October holidays will be pleasant and warm with temperatures hovering just above the 20C mark during April and October. Rainfall levels during spring and autumn may be slightly elevated but showers will pass by quickly. The winter months in Tholos will be wetter but there will still be plenty of 16C sunshine to enjoy.
