Lindos Holidays
Lindos Holidays – Beautifully restored village with stunning beaches
The second most visited destination on Rhodes is the large and picturesque village of Lindos located midway on the eastern coast. The beautiful white stone village attracts families, couples and groups of friends who come to take donkey rides to historic monuments such as the Acropolis and enjoy the stunning beaches. Every winding narrow street is home to tavernas, rooftop restaurants and shops, and cars are not permitted in the centre, giving Lindos a sense of tranquillity. The beaches at Lindos Bay, St Pauls Bay and Vlicha are superb and the perfect place to relax and try snorkelling, jet skiing and boating.
Excursions from Lindos can include glass bottom boat trips along the coast to Pefkos and the delights of Rhodes Town should be sampled at least once. Activities such as the huge water park, the amusement park, golf and the best nightlife on the island are available in Faliraki just 30 minutes from Lindos.
When to go
Lindos can be visited all year round thanks to the great climate but May through October is the most popular season. The summer months are hot and busy but due to the number of beaches there is never a problem with overcrowding. Many people prefer the warm and quiet spring and autumn months; this is the best time for lower rates on flights and accommodation and Lindos. Some of the hotels and restaurants close during the low season months including winter, but the weather is still warm and low cost holidays can be found during these seasons.
