Kalathos holidays are particularly popular with sun-worshippers after a little bit of privacy. It’s not the busiest holiday resort in Rhodes, and even at the height of the summer, the fact that the beach, a mix of golden sand and small pebbles, stretches for around 4km, means that you’re bound to find a quiet spot to soak up the sun in perfect peace. That said, if watersports are your thing, you’ll find that the nearby resort of Lindos has a great selection, including jet skiing, water skiing, paragliding and scuba diving. Boat trips can be booked to take you out on the Mediterranean Sea, visiting assorted Greek islands as well as Turkey.

 

If adrenaline surges aren’t your thing, or you need a cheap holiday in Rhodes rather than booking endless activities, the island has an incredible history, with plenty of museums and sights to visit. Lindos is home to various churches and the ancient ruins of the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Athena.
