Lambi Things To Do

Beach
Lambi's excellent beach stretches north of the harbor for 1km and boasts gentle shelving sands ideal for families. Full of convenient sunbeds, loungers and umbrellas, the beach is backed by tavernas, bars and hotels that line the coastal road.

Water sports
Water sports available include jetskiing, windsurfing, water skiing and parasailing. There's also good snorkelling out round the headland.

Sports
Hotels have swimming pools, tennis courts, gyms, and facilities for games such as table-tennis and billiards. Bikes can be rented, as can scooters and motorbikes. Quad bikes tours are offered nearby.

Walking and hiking
For a change from a day at the beach, walking enthusiasts can head inland for some scenic hikes, and get a taste of the countryside inland - a great way to get out and explore Kos.

Kos Town
The bustling capital is easily reached on foot, and there are regular buses and cabs heading into town. Once there, there's around 200 tavernas, restaurants and bars to visit, plenty of shops and boutiques for great shopping, and a fascinating mix of ancient, medieval and Venetian architecture. Sights to see include the Roman Baths, the Castle of the Knights of St. John and the famous Plane Tree of Hippocrates.

Other day trips
Head to the quieter beaches at Kalymnos or Pserimos Plati, take a boat trip across to the volcanic island of Nysiros, or even visit Bodrum in Turkey. For a family day out, visit the island's waterpark, or for a quieter scene, tour the little coastal villages and towns inland for a taste of authentic Greek island life.
