Kefalos Things To Do
Beaches
The local beach, Kameri, sits at the bottom of the hill, and offers a sand and shingle stretch that is ideal for quiet sunbathing. Other spots to visit include Magic, Hawaii and Paradise Beaches for a change of scene, or the charming but quiet Limnionas on the west coast.
Water sports
A good selection of water sports can be found in Kefalos, including jet skiing, banana boat rides, pedals, ringos, waterskiing, wakeboarding, parascending, catamaran sailing and speedboat rental. There are also fishing trips available.
Town
The Old Town retains a traditional ambience, full of whitewashed houses and narrow lanes to stroll along, along with its Byzantine church and local windmill. There are authentic shops to browse and Greek tavernas to visit in town, and a folk museum showing traditional life in Kefalos.

Explore the surrounding areas by walking, hiking or cycling along the coast or through the hills and mountains - a great way to see the natural beauty of the island. Horse riding is also available at Pyli, with treks offered along the shoreline or in the countryside.
Entertainment
Kefalos has an eclectic range of restaurants and tavernas, serving traditional Greek and international fare, and there are a choice of bars, and a couple of discos. Try a famous Greek Night with dancing, singing and delicious local specialities.
Day trips
Boat trips run along the coast, out to the tiny island of Kastri, the volcanic island of Nisyros, or across to Rhodes. Head to Kos Town for some serious shopping or try the local vintage at one of the island's wineries. Explore the past at historical sights such as the ancient Asklepeion and the amphitheatre at Astypalia.
