Skala Weather – Hot sunshine all summer long

Weather in Skala – Ideal spring break
The Skala temperature in March is around 14C and by May is 22C and is ideal for that spring break. The milder weather is superb for sightseeing and walking holidays through the lush Kefalonia countryside. Rainfall at this time of year is less predictable than the summer but together with the wet winters it is this wonderful Mediterranean climate that keeps the island green throughout the year. The scent of pine fills the air along the many trails on the island and the spectacular scenery can really be appreciated during this milder period of weather in Skala.
Skala Weather – Mild winters
The Mediterranean climate in Skala means mild but more often wet winters. Even in winter temperatures are still around 12C in January and the often heavy rainfall keeps Kefalonia green throughout the year. This quieter time of year still sees walkers enjoying the beautiful and dramatic scenery to be found around the island. October sees temperatures of around 18C, the sun still shines for 7 hours a day and it is comfortable to swim making that quick late or half-term break worthwhile.
