Lassi Things to Do
Famous Beaches
If you like beaches, you’ll love Lassi. Why? Because the beaches are superb! They are renowned as being some of the best in all of Greece, in fact. Imagine gently sloping sand, clear clean water, a range of watersports, good snorkelling and a choice of other beaches close-by. Lassi can offer you all that and more.
More Beach Options!
The diversity of beaches around Lassi include: Makrys Yialos – a long stretch of golden sand situated just outside Argostoli, Platys Yialos – a well-organised beach with crystal clear waters. Tourkopodaro Beach, Paliostafida Beach, and Fanari Beach – three small sandy beaches for those who prefer beach life on a smaller scale. Also there is the red sand beach at Li. If that wasn’t enough, there are also isolated, secluded sandy coves that you could ‘make your own’ for an afternoon. By heading to Lassi, you get all this for the price of one holiday!
Watersports
At Platys Yialos Beach near Lassi the range of watersports available includes: water-skiing, jet-skiing, speed boat rentals, wakeboarding, tube rides and more.
Cycling
Lassi is flat. That means cycling is a popular way to get around. How about jumping on a bike and exploring what was one of the first resorts ever to be built in Kefalonia? Whether cycling alone, as a couple, or as a family, you’re sure to have a wheely good time!
Nightlife
Again, due to Lassi’s ideal location, when it comes to finding good places to eat and drink, you’ll be spoilt for choice. You could enjoy a light tasty meal and a relaxing drink in any one of Lassi’s bars, tavernas or restaurants. If it’s a substantial meal you’re after, restaurants offering three-course meals are only a stone’s throw away at Argostoli. If dancing the night way at a disco takes your fancy, then it’s best to head for Argostoli for that, too, as Lassi is yet to develop a ‘club scene’.
Explore
Exploring the scenic Livathos region from Lassi makes for a fascinating experience. Wander through beautiful Greek countryside, olive groves and citrus plantations. Then stop off for a couple of hours at a traditional taverna in an authentic inland village, such as Koukoumelata, where a friendly welcome can always be found.
