Weather in Fiskardo – Mediterranean climate in an unspoilt northern fishing village
Located on the north coast of Kefalonia, 30 miles from the capital Argostoli, Fiskardo experiences a hot summer season, contrasted with cool winters where rainfall is common. Summer temperatures can reach 30C in July and August – perfect for topping up your tan or for swimming or snorkelling. Throughout June, July and August you can expect little rainfall, which means you can look forward to an entire holiday break with virtually guaranteed sunshine. The maximum winter temperature in Fiskardo is 15C (in December), and rainfall is likely.
Fiskardo Weather – Long holiday season, month upon month of sunshine
The summer season in Fiskardo stretches from June to September, with June temperatures rarely falling below 27C. Through July and August the average temperature climbs to 30C, and there is 12 hours’ sunshine per day. As the summer season gradually draws to a close in September, you can still pick up a tan, and the slight drop in temperature makes excursions from Fiskardo comfortable.
Weather in Fiskardo – Warm spring and autumn days, winter rainfall likely
Once the height of summer passes at Fiskardo, and autumn arrives, you can expect an average daily temperature of 20C throughout October and November, with rainfall becoming increasingly likely. December, January and February make up Fiskardo’s winter season and as the temperature drops to an average of 13C during the day, and as low as 6C at night, you’ll be glad you packed an extra layer of clothing. Expect at least 12 days’ rain per month throughout the winter period. When spring arrives in March that could be a good time to pull on your hiking boots and explore the surrounding rugged hills and beautiful landscapes, as a sharp decrease in rainfall is almost a certainty during this season with the average temperature levelling out at a cool but pleasant 16C.
