St Peters (Aghios Petros) Things to Do

Beaches
Popular with families, the sandy beach at St. Peters is long and flat, with shallow waters and lovely views out across the mainland. Far less crowded than Kavos just down the road, the beach is also protected by sand dunes, and there are a number of beachside tavernas, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas for sun-worshippers.

Water Sports
Jet skiing is available from the beach at St. Peters, but for much more choice of water sports, head to Kavos where there's everything from banana boat rides and ringos, to bungee-jumping.

Sports
Many of the hotels have pools, and the resort has a go-kart track which is popular with families and children. There's also good walks along the flat coastal plains, or inland through the olive groves.

Entertainment
Kavos' quieter neighbour lies just 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the town, with evening entertainment focusing on dining on authentic Greek food in the local tavernas, or international fare in the restaurants, enjoying traditional music in the town's bars, or visiting the resort's few discos and clubs.

Boat Trips
There are a number of different boat trips available from St. Peters, including island tours and cruises up and down the coast. Popular excursions include Corfu Town, Parga and the Blue Lagoon on the mainland, the quiet neighbouring islands of Paxos and tiny Antipaxos, and even cruises over to Albania.

Other Day Trips
Further north, the island has two water parks for some family fun, and there are buses running to Corfu Town for excellent shopping and dining, as well as the chance to enjoy the elegant Venetian architecture, and visit the local museums.
