Pelekas Weather

The charming hillside village of Pelekas will be ideal for holiday makers who wish to escape to a more tranquil sun soaked Corfu location. The resort boasts easy access to scenic countryside and beautiful beaches that can enjoyed for most of the year thanks to the hot climate. Pelekas is blessed with around 3000 hours of sunshine per year and a summer that starts in May and stretches until October. Holiday makers can expect almost no rainfall during the peak summer months, and high temperatures of 30C during June, July and August.  

The peak summer months from June through August will see the highest temperatures in Pelekas. Average summer temperatures will be 25C but 30C is typical, and this can be exceeded during July and August. Pelekas boasts a typically Mediterranean climate although humidity levels are moderate, even during the peak summer months. Sea temperatures will be around 24C during the summer making swimming and water sports the ideal way to spend an afternoon. Pelekas beach and nearby Glyfada become busy from May onwards and swimming can be enjoyed as late as October. Dinners in the open air taverna restaurants will also be a pleasure thanks to the warm 18C evening temperature.

 

Sunshine is practically guaranteed for much of the year in Pelekas. The spring and autumn months bring temperatures of around 20C and the sun will be shining down for around seven hours per day. Infrequent short lived showers can be expected during the early spring and late autumn months. This is the ideal time to explore the Pelekas countryside and nearby attractions such as Corfu Town. A winter holiday in Pelekas will provide cooler 15C temperatures and a slightly higher level of rainfall but there will also be an abundance of sunny days.
